1/30/26 Trail Conditions
Our volunteer grooming crew was out yesterday (Thursday Jan 29) tackling fresh snow and some significant drifting near the Dune Climb. John put the Scarifier and Ginzu to work to clear the path, and we have some great conditions to report across the Heritage Trail.
Current Trail Conditions
Dune Climb to Glen Haven: Condition: Excellent. This section was fully groomed today using the Ginzu. Skiers will find a wide skating lane and fresh classic tracks set on both sides of the trail.
Glen Arbor to Glen Haven: Condition: Good. There is about 2" of fresh powder over the previously groomed surface. Classic tracks are still visible and have been skied in.
Dune Climb to Empire: Condition: Backcountry Style. This section has 5" of fresh powder over the groomed base. While classic tracks are mostly covered, it offers a beautiful, soft experience for those looking for a backcountry-style ski.
Grooming Plans
We are keeping a close eye on the weather and plan to have a crew out to groom the Dune Climb to Empire segment this Friday or Saturday to freshen up the lanes and reset tracks.
Behind the Scenes
It was a busy day dealing with big drifts, but the equipment handled it well! Here are a few images of John operating the groomer and Ginzu near the Dune Climb.
