Meet at Old Pierce Stocking Drive (between the Dune Climb and the Dune Climb Inn)
Join the Park’s invasive plant crew and the Northwestern Michigan Invasive Species Network (NWMISN) for an introduction to invasive species management. We’ll focus primarily on autumn olive while learning how to identify common invasive plants, why they’re a problem, and how they’re managed both in the Park and at home. You’ll get to see and try the tools used in invasive plant removal and have plenty of time for questions. We’ll also introduce Wild Spotter, a free app that makes it easy to report invasive species. Feel free to download it ahead of time if you’d like!
