Flower Flowers have several yellow flowers about 1" across in branched clusters.  More than one may be in bloom at a time.
Leaf Leaves are stemmed, alternate, clasping, prickly edged, lower leaves mostly pinnately divided, upper smaller, less divided.
Notes Stems are stout, erect, hollow, and contain milky juice.
