Height 2-5 feet
Flower There are many pale yellow flowers 1-2" wide in a cluster.  Each flower has 4 broad, yellow petals with a blunt end, notched tips, and an X-shaped stigma. 
Leaf Leaves are narrow and alternate on the lower half of the stem.  Leaves are rough to the touch and often tinged with red along the edge.
Notes Stems are stout, erect, hollow, and contain a milky juice.  Fruit is in a green pod container with lengthwise ridges.  The flowers are pollinated by Sphinx Moths at night.
