A ring or whorl of yellow,
2-lipped flowers spotted with purple emerging from a tubed, green calyx
above another ring of whitish bracts. There is usually more than one
ring of flowers per stem. The upper lip of each flower is strongly
arched. |

Leaves are 1-3" long, narrow,
and somewhat fuzzy. They occur in pairs with another pair of smaller
leaves at their base. |

Stems are erect,
square in cross section and covered with fine fuzz. |
