Flower Flowers are at the tip of an erect flower stalk that rises from the ground level, is leafless, hollow, and exudes a milky juice when broken.  They appear to be 1 large yellow flower, 1.5" across but is actually a composite of many tiny flowers clustered together.

Notes The flowers open in the morning and close in the afternoon.  Globe-like seed heads have soft hair-like bristles that resemble tiny parachutes to carry the seeds away on the wind.
