Flowers are creamy white to pale
yellow. The flowers do not appear until the second year. |
| Leaf |
Leaves are narrow and highly
branched. They are either smooth at the tips or end in a small, weak
spine. |
| Notes |
The stem and lower
leaf surfaces are densely white-wolly. Stems are erect and lack spines
except where leaves attach to the stem. The Pitcher's Thistle is
found only in the Great Lakes sand dunes and is a Federally endangered
species protected by law in all states. |
