Height 1-3 feet
Flower Flowers are creamy white to pale yellow.  The flowers do not appear until the second year.
Leaf Leaves are narrow and highly branched.  They are either smooth at the tips or end in a small, weak spine.
Notes The stem and lower leaf surfaces are densely white-wolly.  Stems are erect and lack spines except where leaves attach to the stem.  The Pitcher's Thistle is found only in the Great Lakes sand dunes and is a Federally endangered species protected by law in all states.
