Tiny white flowers 1/8" wide are
arranged in a spike 1-3" tall at the top of a single thin stem. Each
fower has 5 petal-like sepals and 5 unusual fringed petals. |

Leaves are 1-3" wide on long
stems. They have 3 lobs and are toothed. There are usually only
a single set of stem leaves midway along the stem, opposite and lance-shaped
with teeth. |

This sparsely
leafed plant often grows in large clusters. |
