Flower Small delicate spike cluster of white flowers on a stalk 0.5-3" tall.  Each individual flower is about 1/6" wide made up of 2 petals and 2 petal-like sepals which give the appearance of 4 petals.
Leaf Leaves are heart-shaped and partially surrounds the stem with veins that are parallel and extend from base to tip.
Notes Also called Wild Lily of the Valley or Canada Mayflower.  Typically found in large mats connected by an underground root system (rhizome).  The stem is often zig-zag going back and forth between alternating leaves.
