Fall Pictures from Sleeping Bear Dunes

It's Fall and the colors are wonderful in the park.  If you can't come and see them in person, we've got a few pictures from Pierce Stocking Drive that will give you an idea of what you're missing!

The Covered Bridge

Glen Lake

Take in the view from the Dune Overlook.  You can see the parking lot of the Dune Climb, the D.H. Day Farm, and Sleeping Bear Bay in the background.
The view from the North Bar Lake Overview.  You can see North Bar Lake and the Empire Bluffs in the background.
The following pictures were taken on the Windy Moraine Trail just across the road from Pierce Stocking Drive.
The milkweed is distributing its seeds.  A puff of wind creates a blizzard of seeds.
The hike through the Windy Moraine trail was breath-taking.  Some of the other areas are still not at their peak color as of 10/20/05.
