Flower Flowers have 3 dark red pointed petals and 3 sharply pointed green sepals.
Leaf Three pointed dark green leaves 3-4" long in a whorl around a single stem.  Each leaf has a network of veins.
Notes Red Trillium bloom the same time as the more common white, large-flowered Trillium.  Flowers smell like carrion and attracts flies, which is where it's other common name comes from:  Stinking Benjamin.
