Pink, fragrant flower clusters
are dome or ball shaped. What appear to be petals are cup-shaped
structures, each surrounding a single, curved horn. The 5 recurved
petals are immediately below this crown. Below the petals are 5
smaller greenish sepals. |
| Leaf |
Leaves are thick and 4-6" long,
oblong, toothless, and hairy on the underside. They bleed a milky
white sap when broken. |
| Notes |
Stems are stout,
hairy and when cut or broken also bleed a milky white sap. Seed pods
are long, pointed, and covered with wart-like bumps. Seeds are tipped
with long silken hairs. |
