Port Oneida Fair

Step back in time at the Port Oneida Fair

to experience life

as it was in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

2010 Port Oneida Fair
August 13 & 14 from 10:00 - 4:00 PM

Located on M-22 just 3 miles north of Glen Arbor in the Port Oneida Rural Historic District of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Buss service is a available for FREE between the 5 historic farms and the schoolhouse. But you can also ride the buckboard or walk the hiking trails between the venues!

Entry to the Fair is FREE, but donations are welcome to help us pay the bills so we can keep the fair going again next year!

Burfiend Barn - Local history, maritime activities, timber framing, music, square dancing.

Dechow Farm - Working farm activities, hay cutting, rope-making, geese, ducks, chickens, oxen, horses, wagon rides.

Kelderhouse & Cemetery - Civil War encampment

Olsen Farm - Domestic farm activities, quilting, butter making, soap making, timber framing, photography

Schoolhouse - Live presentations, historic figures, World War II encampment

Thoreson Farm - Artists: painters, potters, spinning, knitting, kids crafts, blacksmith, horses to pet, music.

Each year, the Port Oneida Fair Committee develops a poster depicting a scene in the Port Oneida Rural Historic District. The posters are sold at the fair to raise funds for the fair. Click here to see past posters. They may be ordered while supplies last.
