Height 6-12"
Flower Compact thick spikes, 1-2" long of violet-blue flowers.  Individual flowers are 1/2" long have upper petals forming a hood while lower petals form a landing platform for insects.
Leaf Leaves are toothless, lance-shaped.
Notes Stems are 4-sided and hairy to slightly fuzzy.  They are usually erect.
